Description
Zirtek Oral Solution is an anti-histamine syrup that quickly and effectively relieves the symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, skin allergies, and reactions to dust and pet hair.
- The active ingredient cetirizine dihydrochloride helps to control symptoms such as hay fever, allergy to dust mites (allergic rhinitis) sneezing, a runny or itchy nose, itchy palate, and itchy, red, or tearing eyes.
- Non Drowsy formulation is particularly suitable for children who need to concentrate in school.
- Pleasant flavoured banana syrup with a spoon for accurate and easy dosing.
Directions:
Swallow liquid as directed. One teaspoon a day is enough for up to 24-hour symptom relief.
Adults and children aged 12 years and over: 10ml once a day (two full measuring spoons) Max 10ml in 24 hours
Children aged 6-12 years: 5ml twice daily (one full measuring spoon) Max 10ml in 24 hours
Children aged 2-6 years: 2.5ml twice daily (half a measuring spoon) Max 5ml in 24 hours
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ZIRTEK ORAL SOLUTION:
- Always read the patient information leaflet.
- Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you or your child are taking any other prescription medications, regular medicines, or receiving regular treatment.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use if you are allergic to cetirizine dihydrochloride or any of the other ingredients or to hydroxyzine or piperazine derivatives (closely related active substances of other medicines)
- Do not exceed the stated dose, seek immediate medical advice in the event of an overdose.
- Does not cause drowsiness in the majority of people but care should be taken when driving or operating machinery. Please be careful if you drink alcohol during the use of this medicine, as it may increase the effects of alcohol.
- Like all medicines, Zirtek can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you think you have any side effects or symptoms, stop using this medicine immediately and see a doctor as soon as possible.
Ingredients:
Contains Cetirizine Dihydrochloride 10mg per 10ml. Sorbitol (E 420), glycerol, propylene glycol, saccharin sodium, methylparahydroxybenzoate (E 218) & propylparahydroxybenzoate (E 216). Banana flavour, sodium acetate, glacial acetic acid and purified water.
