Description
Dioralyte Sachets are a fast and effective rehydration treatment to help replace the loss of fluid and body salts caused by diarrhoea and vomiting.
DOSAGE: For oral use only. Take Dioralyte dissolved in 200ml/7floz of water.
Adults (including the elderly and children aged 12 years and over): Dilute one to two sachets of Dioralyte with 200ml/7floz of water after every episode of diarrhoea.
Children aged 2 years and over: Dilute one sachet of Dioralyte with 200ml/7floz of water after every episode of diarrhoea.
Infants aged 1 to 2 years: One to one and a half times the amount of fluid your baby normally has in 24 hours. If the diarrhoea has not improved within 24-36 hours consult your doctor. If baby is vomiting, give 5-10ml every 5 mins increasing gradually until they can drink normally.
Infants under 1 year: Should only be used on medical advice.
You should seek medical advice before using Dioralyte for children 2 years and below.
Always use fresh drinking water or freshly boiled and cooled water
The solution should be made immediately before use and can be kept in the fridge for up to 24 hours or used within one hour if stored at room temperature.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT DIORALYTE:
Each sachet contains: sodium chloride 0.47g, potassium chloride 0.30g, glucose 3.56g, disodium hydrogen citrate 0.53g.
Other ingredients include colloidal anhydrous silica, saccharin sodium.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Dioralyte if:
The diarrhoea has lasted longer than 36 hours.
The child taking the medicine is under 2 years of age.
You are on a low potassium or low sodium diet.
You have liver or kidney disease.
You have diabetes.
You are pregnant or are breastfeeding
You are taking regular prescription medications
